Denis, This is exceptional. Maybe if the background was a tad lighter, it might help the bird stand out even better?

Thanks for the kind words,everyone,as they are much appreciated.
I,m a proponent of darker backgrounds myself,and that,s purely a personal taste,and often darken them in a layer,then brush the bird out. I feel it gives me a better separation,and makes the subject pop,but that,s just me!
