Tree Swallow (juvenile)

As you may know, swallows at this time of year start gathering together in very large numbers in preparation for their migration to Florida and Central America. 

In Massachusetts, they often rest on our beaches in the early morning. Sometimes they even sit still for a few seconds.

Please consider opening in full view.

Hi Matt, this is a really cool behavioural shot. I have never personally seen them resting on the beach so this is a unique setting to me. Great details when viewed larger too.
