Jeff, I love this image because it so clean and simple, great eye contact and yes as Mike says the vibrant green vegetation makes a beautiful stage for the subject.

Beautiful image in natural habitat Jeff! Around 350 pairs breed in the south UK as summer visitors and we call them the Stone Curlew over here. Your eye level view and nice open background make for such a calming and peaceful scene.
