As the days lengthen in the southern hemisphere, these grebes begin to reaffirm their bond with all sorts of different displays. In this image they are raising their crests and and grabbing each others bills. This was taken yesterday morning in New Zealand's high country. It was a crisp spring morning and this mountain lake was very still.

Thanks for taking the time to view and comment. Always very welcoming after a short hiatus. Things just seemed to get too busy there for a few weeks. Cheers.
