Wonderful lookback pose .. to my eye it looks like the leaves on the perch are in sharper focus than the bird.

Great light and pose, Darren! I find that the composition lets this one down. To my eye, the placement of the bird is quite awkward and the clipped leaves are a distraction. If you have room, I would shift the bird down and right to include more of the foliage above and left of the bird. You've done a beautiful job isolating this guy against a pleasing backdrop and with some tweaking to the framing this will be a stunner. Hope the feedback helps!

I love the dorsal view on this bunting a lot! The bird itself is a little soft perhaps and if you don't have any more picture to work with at the top I'd cut 2/3 of the frame off below the bird to center it more so the bird fills more of the frame. Too bad it wasn't sharper but still an above average shot.
