This is a cool shot - I am especially drawn to the one bird that has just stepped out of the water in the right hand side of the frame.

Very nice. I like seeing the Flamingos in different stages of motion.

This is really nice. I see two potential pano images here. The group of four birds in flight, and the group below. Both together make this a keeper.

oh my. This is something. The water is barely disturbed - it almost looks like they are walking on air! Very cool image.

Alot going on, but a very neat shot, particularly the take off sequence
with flight overhead. Congrats!

Interesting thought. I would try that, if it weren't for losing too many pixels in the process.

Very nice. I'd like to see a little more room on the left but you have obviously croped out something unwanted. What is the pink ring above the neck of the left bird in flight? An odd reflection in the distance? Now that I have spotted it it bugs me a little because I can't work out what it is.

Good eye. I did a quick look at 100% in the original file, and it is another flamingo in flight, with its wings pointing downward. The opposite is the reflection coming up from the water. Makes it look like a complete circle.

You had me going there. I guess with the 400mm f/4 DO and the specular highlights conversations of past, I always think twice.

Ahh, that explains it. I must admit I did search for DOughnuts but that ring didn't look like one. Thanks Andy, now I'll be able to sleep.

I like the symphony of action going on here. It reminds me of a ballet.

Very interesting and different shot!!

Fascinating image, Andy. I concur with Bill's ballet. My first thought was of a fine watercolor painting. Calm and beautiful serenity!! I love it!!!

Very nice - and I'm guessing that you caught two groups coming for a landing. There's a lot going on here but it's all good. You've got separation for each of the groups and even the shadows of the flying group are separated from the bottom - and nicely spaced as well.

Can't wait to get back!
