This was taken at the Elizabeth Morton Nature preserve on Long Island last winter. Its a wonderful place where the birds are so acclimated to humans the chickadees will land on and eat out of your hand!

Canon D30, and I'm going to guess this was with the 100-400 IS lens before I sold it. A lot of my raw shots when I transferred from zoombrowzer to acdsee...I lost the exif data. I mostly remember what camera and lens but have no idea about ss or f stop or iso. Sorry! :oops:

I like the shallow DOF here with the cardinal in the BG OOF. The bright area URC is a bit of a distraction and keeps pulling my eye away. I might try to tone it down just a bit.

Nice, the OOF bird is like a blurred mirror of the main subject. I agree with harvey on the bright spot.

The brightest of the highlights are a bit distracting but the snow in the background is cool. 8)
