Paul,
Cool shot! Won't be long until they're around again!

How nice to be able to see this species out in the open. I really like the various positions and the habitat which suits them nicely. I like this a lot!

Paul:

Nice contrast of the two body positions, perfect example of the ability of the owls to completely rotate the head (Since they can not rotate the eyes).

Paul,

This is awesome. Great light. The busy BG has the sticks evenly dispersed which really helps this image. It also looks like your close to eye level. Great photo.

Paul:

I have a rule of thumb that states: The difficulty of a photograph increases as the square of the number of subjects.
It's hard enough to get one of these critters out in the open like this. But two of them? And in complementary poses? Wow!

Paul, All of the above. It's been years since I've seen them in decidous trees, and never side by side in two positions!

Paul,

What are the odds of getting two birds to face you with one bird's body turned away? Incredible image!

Cool and I like the way they blend with the trees and BG.

Everything sure came together for this one.....two owls, facing the same way next to each other....in wonderful light. Excellent.

Paul,

I like that you can see the well-detailed feathers from the front and back of the Owls at the same time! Great work!
