I love it. A superlative composition. But, gosh, I want to see those white jump out at me. It seems a tad dull. It is too blue. Raise the levels, brighten the whites. Please don't think me being negative, I am not. I appreciate those who consider composition foremost. This is a great image, I would have worked it differently. Am I right? Who knows?

Best regards,

Bill

This is perfectly done, by nature and you. And it makes me wonder again how these guys scratch out a survival in the north country. Tough birds. Yes, composition is well done.

Another inspirational image from you Conner, Way to go! We used to have snow like this in Cleveland a long time ago.:( It would be nice to see more detail in the bird, and I'm sure there is in your full size copy, but quite a exposure dilemma having the extreme opposite tones to contend with. Did everything stay within the gram and not blow on this one. I'm thinking it did with the super soft light.

What a wall hanger--Boy o boy!

Thanks Paul!
The histo is all good. I darkened this image a fair bit. and selectively darkened the bird a bit more because before it just looked a bit washed out and grey.

A very nice image. I don't know if what I'm seeing has been adjusted after Bill's comments but I personally like how it is now. I often see these very brightly lit snow scenes and I wonder on what planet they live on because in Missoula when it is is snowing it is usually dark overcast. To me this really sets the mood and the scene.

Very nice Connor, a good eye. You should bring at least a monopod, would sure help to better the settings.
