It appears a bit soft and the light a touch harsh, but that's the only downside. Really like the colors. What was the ISO?

Pose of the bird is great, and I agre with your choice of crop - the bottom looks like it was pretty busy - now it really helps the composition and photo.

Matt, Thanks for your critique. The ISO was 200. The Florida sun is very strong and other than early AM or evening light it's hard not to get harsh lighting.

Michael, beautiful bird, lovely colours and nice pose and open beak. Does look a bit soft on my monitor though. Might you use a bit more USM? The bg is a bit busy too.
