One more falcon head shot, captive.

Gotta love the 1Ds. In the original you can see landscape details in the eye.

1Ds, 100-400 at 400, 1/800 at f8, ISO 250

Another great shot. My personal preference would be a bit darker but it certainly is not overexposed.

Rich,

I like how well the background color coordinates with the Falcon! Just beautiful!

Nice shot! My gut reaction wants to see the bird slightly higher and right in the frame as well as the catch light left of center on the eye so I don't get the sense that the bird is looking away.

Super image! My preference would have the bird a bit higher in the frame as well, if possible. What a great look at this bird, marvelous detail!

I think there have been several great suggestions made that would not be hard to do. Still...an excellent shot. I'd take all of these I could get.

Well detailed and a nice pose. Possibly a bit more contrast but that's a personal prefrence.

Beautiful shot, Rich. The limpid eye is gorgeous, with a 3-D appearance. Like EJ, I'd like it a bit darker.

I think the background matching the colors of the falcon really make this shot. :D

Very sharp and detailed around the eye. As bright as it is, a little more DOF would help. Great closeup.
