I love the detail and the close inspection of the face of this guy. My only wish would be for him to be looking toward the camera just the slightest bit. A very minor nit for this excellent image!!

Aaaaargh! These guys populate a park near me and each is ugly in a different way. Nice shot - I think.

A face only a mother could love! Detail in the "ugly part" by the eye is great; only wish for the head turned a bit more toward you to get the entire bill in the same plane as the head.

A nice shot of this guy. These are perhaps the tamest ducks of all. I had one take and run-off with my Better Beamer last year. A slight turn of the head toward the camera would enhance this shot.

That's how this close up came about :D . I was taking photos of other birds and this guy stood right next to me on a railing fascinated with the whole process. Nothing bothered him...not even the flash in his face.

Nice closeup. Too bad his head is turned away and the bill is OOF. These guys are rather tame.

Harvey,

Nice shot with a nice background. I agree with the other comments about the head turn and a little more depth of field for the bill too.

Harvey,
The BG compliments the bird very well. Only nits are the OOF tip of the beak and head turned away slightly.

Really nice. Would have been better had he been cooperating a bit more but still you got wonderful detail. A little more DOF maybe? :?

Nice head shot of a weird bird! A little head turn would improve it.

The head turn would have been nice, but I'm not sure I'd want to be looking at him....that close. Great detail of an "interesting" duck.
