Canon 10D 600IS Lens at 5.6 1/160 ISO 200 Manual incident at -1/3 Fill flash at -1 Wimberley Head, Gitzo Tripod. Santa Rita Lodge, Madera Canyon, Arizona.

These Mexican Jays were very cooperative and gregarious at the lodge, I am not usually very enthused with man-made materials but this copper birdbath was very pretty and different that I did not mind using it to frame the Mexican Jay. I hope you like it, all comments are appreciated.

Like shooting sitting ducks at Madera especially if happen to be snacking on peanuts. This is very nice.

Juan,

Nice shot. I would like to see the edges of the bird bath in the frame.

Juan,
Nice job on the exposure and composition. The BG is very nice. That said, I am not a big fan of the birdbath.

Well done, Juan. The bird looks metallic - a part of the bird bath.

Juan,

Nice shot. I like the over the shoulder look. The bird bath makes for an interesting composition.

The bird does look like part of the bath. I really like all of the shapes and angles of the birdbath.

This is perfectly composed - the bird fits very well with the birdbath here. It's a lovely scene.

Since the birdbath has a significant presence in the image I would say this probably belongs in the Elements of Humankind gallery, but I'll leave it here since a day has already passed and there are a number of comments.
