Green Heron down low

Caught this greenie a few months ago, looking for supper. Sadly, I won't be able to get this perspective again until the E. coli in the water clears up :(

Green Heron
Butroides virescens
Image
10D, 1-4IS @ 400mm, handheld, sitting in the water

Exp -2/3
ISO 400

Pano crop - full frame LtoR, USM, saturation, levels in PS. Burned the legs a bit to even the tone.

I really like the pano crop on this image - it mimicks the low and flat posture of the bird.

Matt, EJ nailed it about the pano crop. Just another instance of how I continue to learn about items that never entered my mind. Thank you both.

BTW, why are you worried about a few little E. coli? You're bigger than they are.

Apparently you haven't seen the Bovine-Growth-Hormone enhanced E. coli we grow around here... :shock:
