This skimmer kept circling to skim through a school of bait fish just offshore in the lagoon at Fort DeSoto. The lucky fish along with his buddies can be seen swimming and jumping out of the way.

Neat shot, Rick. I guess the fish decided it was safer out of water.

Outstanding image! And you got the fish in mid-air with water drops. Very Cool!

Very nice Rick. It would be great with just the skimmer, but the flying fish puts it over the edge. Great job.

Incredible action shot. Timing was right on the money for catching that little guy doing a flip.

Rick,

Glad to see you're back in the sunshine state. Nice capture. Do you usually set the aperature to f11 when shooting flight images?

Wow! Thats crazy! Thats the same approach the birds take to me (i.e. they jump and do tricks right after I pass.) ;) Cool shot!

The behavior shown here is interesting and shows up well because of the water droplets around the fish. I get the visual impression of smooth steady speed here.
