Looks like all the familiar names already posted things here, so it is good to be here.

I recently posted this in another site, but thought I would post it here since I was not able to make to JBWR two weeks ago because the in-laws were in town and I was asked to stay home by my other half :( .

I took this the weekend after a wash-out of a Labor Day weekend last year that raised the water level at JBWR so high that you could not crawl without submersing the lens. So, I lowered the tripod as much as possible and sat in the water.

EOS 3, 500f/4L IS, 1.4TCII, 25MM of extension, evaluative metering at 0. The whites are a bit hotter than I like them to be; I think this should have been made at -1/3, and I tried to find a clean brake so that no birds would be cut off but there isn't one.

Anyway, please let me know how I could improve this image.

Christoph

I like it, Christopher. I believe, however, that the composition would be stronger if you cropped out the three birds+bird butt on the left. That would leave you only with whole birds.

Hi, Christoph! Good to see you posting. :)

I like the group image with the greenery and reflections, this is a really cute shorebird scene.

Sorry you could not make the trip to Jamaica Bay a few weeks ago, it would have been nice to meet you!

I'm in favor of the crop on the left side - either that, or cut off some of the blurred birds on the right side to have bird parts on both sides.

Love the pano.
