Painted Bunting Upper Texas Coast


I cannot tell you how fast my heart was beating when I saw this in the viewfinder.

Nikon F5, 600/4, 25MM extension, SB 28 Flash @ -1.0, Provia 100F.

Guido is coming your way as we speak, a few stuffed Painted buntings perched around your house would a good lure, I have asked him to not miss the shot, good money is ridding on this!!! I told him you can not resist

I can only imagine. My heart is beating fast just looking at the result. Open beaks are always a plus.

Gorgeous image Alan! The colours are excellent and the open beak a big bonus. For a print I would try to get rid of the leaves to the right.
