Hi everyone! Shot this Godwit at Bolsa Chica, CA a couple of weeks ago. Canon 10D, 600 + 1.4TC, F8 at 1/640.

Beautiful light and pose. The circle of ripples in front of the godwit add nice balance to the image.

The colors are beautiful. I have never seen many posts of this bird. I especially love the rippled water and one legged stance. Very nice.

One good lookin' bird my friend. I like the raised foot indicating it was not too stressed and ready to bolt. BC has got some good shooting year round IMO.
