This is my personal favorite on several levels:
* The bird struck a great pose. * I consider this one of "my" bluebirds. The shot is the result of planning out and constructing a trail of bluebird houses for which I have been rewarded with a number of years of being the surrogate "grandfather" to many broods of bluebirds (and many photo opportunities). * It's quite possibly the sharpest photo I've ever taken. The feather detail in the original Velvia slide is incredible and amazes me every time I look at it. * This photo and another were published in an Audubon calendar some years back making them my first “major” publication credits.
