Redhead Drake Aythya americana

This was taken about a month ago at Belmar Park in Lakewood, CO. This guy was pretty friendly. This is one of the best flap photo's that I have been able to get. So I thought I would see what other people thought.

Any comments appreciated! Thanks for looking!

Well done. The tack-sharp head, motion-blurred wings and nice placement make this a very nice shot.

Very nice, Sheri.

The wing action and sharp head are a nice combination. Focus, composition and BG are all good.

It truly is a lovely wing flap, with the beak and head crisply detailed.

The clarity of the head and the color really catches my attention.

Great shot of bird and water Sheri, and excellent timing to freeze the action so well! 8) 8) :)

The bit of wing motion against the sharp body takes this over the top!

Very nicely done. I like the way the primaries form a line that points the wings in the same direction as the bill.

Excellent, Sheri. The sharpness of the head is the critical feature of an image such as this.
