Yellow Crowned Night Heron Brazos Bend SP, TX

This handsome young man was apparently gathering material for the nest. He'd grab a small branch and yank it off the tree, fly off, then come back and do it again.

There was a little bit of a breeze to give him a bad hair day.

Excellent pose. I love these YCNH in the tree images. The sky seems a little too saturated but since I wasn't there it's hard for me to tell.

Very nice image. :)

The BG is a mite busy, but, the clarity, composition and alertness of the bird; more than make up for the nit.

Jim, a very nice image of this Guy. A little over saturated looking to me and I wish the shadow was not across the chest, but, that's Brazos for you.

I was glad to finally meet you.

Jim, a nice, clear view of this attractive YCNH. I, too, agree that the image, especially the sky, is somewhat over-saturated.
