This is image would fall in the personal favorite because of circumstances (not image quality). Very tough conditions had most of our group standing around and not shooting. The strong wind was bunching the birds and making them face away from the sun (were only getting group butt shots  )

I worked my way to the periphery, close and waited for a bird to turn. Did not get many chances but was able to salvage four decent images.

Exposure is nailed!! I like how you caught him with his bill on the preen gland. Excellent story and it fits the motif well.

Excellent shot. :D

Hi Alfred,

I really like the low angle here as well as the bird's position. For my taste, the bird is a little too centered but I can't decide if I would like it better placed more to the left or the right. I do love the spiky hairdo. :)

Excellent shot, Alfred. One doesn't often see the preen gland on terns. I'd like more room below and less room on the right.

Al, a very nice image here, but you continue to impress me with your ability to get down low. I too can get down but it takes me half a day to get up. :D :D :D

Congrats!!!

I hope you were able to get some STK shots. I plan to look for the nest tomorrow or Saturday.

Boy, would I like to squeeze that Oil Gland !!!
Very nice done, the contortion looks wonderful, so is the exposure and detail, here the centered bird on the image is the best compromise!!
Congrats!! 8)
