Shot yesterday at Malibu's Paradise Cove, early evening in shade. EOS 1Ds, 100-400mm with 1.4x converter at 560mm; ISO 100; f8, 1/160; -1/3.

Willet pose, the rocks and surf are composed really well. You need to just lighten the willet. Select the Willet using Magic Wand of Lasso/ Select-Feather 5/ Image-Adjust-Brightness/Deselect.

Nice shot. I like the waves in the background. It could use some USM, and a fill flash would have helped.

Looks like its molting to its breeding plumage. I like everything about this one. The eye contact, pose, bg, and rocky perch are all great. I just wish the bird were a bit lighter as Peter mentioned. A nice image.

Hi,

the composition and BG are a great complement to the bird. I agree, he looks a little flat... but in all, it's one I'd be delighted to have.

Great shot, a little more contrast would certianly brighten the image. The surf BG is very nice.
