Took this a few weeks ago at the Anhinga Trail.

Canon EOS 3; Fuji Provia 100F; Canon 75-300 USM IS with 81B Filter; 550EX with stofen omnibounce. f/5.6 in Av mode.

Nice close up of an intense looking bird. I am very glad you were able use the proper technique to sneak up and be able to photograph those illusive birds up close. :lol:

Thanks. I actually took this the day I ran into you at the Anhinga Trail...and you gave me the card which turned me on to this site. :wink:

I'm amazed how close you can get to these guys....I'm probably gonna try to be there this friday... hopefully the smoke doesn't reach down there.
