Can you bring the contrast down on this some to try and bring out some of the shadow detail? It's very hard to see the eye and I think with the original file, you could make it some out some more.
Nice catch, btw.

The little seaweeds make this photo. This is a tough scene to expose right, you did a good job.

Harvey,

Nice Skimmer shot. The fish and the seaweed are great. I would just like to see the eye a little better.

Hi Harvey. Cool little fishy and I love the seaweed. I would like to see more detail in the eye but it does look like a tough exposure.

Harvey,
Nice one! A catchlight and a little more detail in the blacks would take this one over the top.

Sushi with a seaweed chaser! Love it, especially the turn of the head toward you. Concur with Tony's suggestions to bring out some detail in the blacks.

A well balanced diet is equally important for birds. What a cool capture.

I love it!

The seaweed is a bonus! :) Was this bird coming right at you with its prize? A tough exposure, I agree, it would be nice for the eye to be more distinct if possible.

Great "motif" shot! I was dismayed after we announced the theme to realize I don't have much on birds with fish, so I will be getting something ready in anticipation of next week's "landing birds".

He was walking over to share brunch with me. Exposure was extremely difficult with the sand being so reflective that you had to squint. If you don't have any photos of birds with fish I can give you one. I have everything from Guppies to Tuna :D

Excellent detail with this one. I always have problems with birds with black heads and black eyes....the eyes seem to disappear. My only wish here would be for the eye to more discernible. However, I haven't figured it out yet myself.
