Same area of the other white pelican with fish I posted earlier.
I like the back lighting giving the silhouette of the fish and the pattern of the veins on the pouch. The image is tight on the left side.

I have been noticing that my posts on NSN seem lighter than what shows on my monitor when I am working on an image. Anyone else had this happen?

Other than being a bit tight on the left as you're aware, a great (no pun intended) catch.

Nice image! It's amazing what these guys are able to stuff down their throats. Thanks for sharing.

BTW - When I save an image using the save for web command in Photoshop the saved image is much lighter than the original image. I make a brightness adjustment before the save to end up where I want it to be. No one seems to be able to explain why this happens

A fine back-lit shot, Steve. Because the fish in the trans-illuminated gular pouch is the point of interest, I would have loved to see a close-up of that area.

A nice catch, for both of you. I'd crop the shoreline (?) off the top.

I think the fish silhouette is just great. I never realized how translucent these pouches are. A little tight on the left, as you mentioned, but I think the pouch detail makes up for it IMO.

The catch in the pouch against backlighting is the key to this amazing shot. Nice one, Steve!

Steve,
Love the backlit effect. It shows the fish so well.

Detail in the pouch is great, but I love the bit of fish tail just sticking out. Gotta laugh at this because the obvious question remains, how is he going to swallow the fish! Would also crop just a bit from the top.

Great motif shot! I love the fish through the transparent pouch, what an unusual catch!

I love the transparency with this one.
I'm also experiencing the same problem as you. I'm having to play with several versions, then post, preview and see what happens. It's a guess to get it right.
