First Scissortail Of Spring. It Was Windy And He Was Really Hanging On..... I Like the Way His Tail & The Wire Form A Scissor Also.....

The typical Scissortail post captured well. To improve this photo further you could have used flash as your main light source and underexposed the ambient to make the sky gray instead of white while exposing the bird properly with the flash.

Not an easy bird to get! E.J.'s comments about using flash are good, I have used this technique successfully before and it does make a big difference. I like the rusty wire, to me this works very well especially with the coloration of the bird. Good catch of the whole tail, too! :)

Nice exposure on the bird. The flash tips already mentioned would really help this one.
