Here's another one form the STL at Homer.

Canon 1D 500mm f4 550ex, Tripod Ball head Sidekick Leveling head, Manual exposure using incident meter 1/500 @ f4, Fill flash -2, Auto focus.

Wow, the spray in the air and churn in the water tells us what just happened, and I'd say the eagle looks positively triumphant! Even the action in the wings works well. Great action shot.

The plop, the water drops and the wing position in the power phase of the cycle all come together to make a very dynamic image. One of the best I've seen from Homer.

Incredible shot. I'm curious - do you know if the splash is from a wing tip hitting the water, or was it the spot where he plucked the fish?
