Harvey, great subject and nice comp. The bird is very soft and the BG is a little busy. The colors on the bird are outstanding.

I ran across a little tool called "Focus Magic" that does deconvolution. It would probably work well on the body of the bird. It doesn't do miracles, but can turn a shot that's a little soft into one that jumps out at you.

Great colors in the bird; we can surely see where it gets its name. The background kind of reminds me of a shrub up against a house. I guess it's because of the light color coming through between the leaves.

One thing that also could help make the bird pop more is to do some fairly heavy noise reduction on the background leaves to smooth things out.

Nice going Harvey I know how difficult is just to find one of these little guys. I like the perch and pose. The bird is beautiful. Just wish for a cleaner background. Very good image.

Nice colorful bird Harvey, an in focus tail would be even better.

Very pretty colors. The bird and foliage appear soft, as if drawn by pastel chalks on textured paper. I would increase the grain and blur some of the edges to carry that effect out even more. It has the makings of a beautiful abstract.

You don't see the back of this bird much in posted images. There sure is an amazing mixture of colors there.

Harvey, Interesting view from the back!! As the lower half is already muted, I think Juli's idea of an abstract is well worth a try.
