House Finch

D30, Canon 100-400, 1/125, f/8, Flash @ -1 1/3, ISO 200

The birds are on the move in NW Ohio. In a little over a month we should start seeing some migrant warblers and I can't wait! In the meantime these backyard birds are keeping me busy with practice. :) As always all comments and suggestions for improvement are welcome. Thanks for looking! :)

Nice overall image Laura, very good perch and BG. The bird is sharp from tail to beak. Perhaps a bit more saturation to make the reds pop.

Nicely done, Laura. I just wish these little guys were on the move here. I haven't seen any of them here or their cousins the purple finches. Colors look really nice to me and the bird is very sharp with nice feather detail. I particularly like the perch in this one. :)

Great perch and very nice image. If the perch was a set-up, having it more closely aligned with the plane of focus might be even stronger.
