Beautiful pose and composting. Great BG Looks a bit dark on my monitor I am sure it is a mater of calibration. Very pretty bird looking forward to seeing many more.

Darlene. A little tight in the frame but a nice pose. Looks like it could be brightened a bit. It has a nice dramatic feel to it.

The posting guidelines allow us to only post one image in the bird forum every 48 hours. I'll leave this one up , but please wait 48 hours for the next one. Thanks Darlene.

Nice pose with framing that is a bit tight but it works good for me.

The shot is a bit dark though

Darlene, this is an elegant pelican, a highly artistic rendering. I would surely consider putting back some of the crop around the LRC, increasing the exposure by about a half stop so some of the belly detail will be evident, bringing out the feather highlights on the side and back in an editing program and sharpening. Alternately, you could change the white balance and sharpen a bit but personally, I love the brownish tones.

I'll second Juli's critique. I would like to see more on the right and bottom and less on the left.

Very nice, artistic image.
