Great shot. The birds are sharp and well exposed. Where did you find such interesting birds together? I assume you did research to discover where the birds were and then had to wait patiently for the right pose. Tell us some details!

These birds were discovered by Jerry Merrell. He shared the location with Jim Urbach who then shared the location with me. I'm not sure how Jerry found them, but I think Urbach mentioned that a friend told him. There was no research involved on my part. I was lucky and arrived at a time shortly before the birds became active. Not much waiting was involved. I tend to be lucky that way. I guess I'm a lucky guy.

Looks great from here! Full daylight, lots of detail, very bright but not over. Was the day pretty warm or are they hissing at you??

Unbelievable! Breath-taking!

I think I see the reflection of golf balls in the bird's eyes! (joking!)

I'm fortunate to have nesting pairs here at the ranch....but 40 feet off the ground  All I can get is little mickey mouse silhouette heads from the best vantage points.
Only in Florida at this level....me thinks
Excellent shot..I'm jealous.

Juli, It was hot and they were panting. I haven't heard them hiss or make any noises.

I think this is the best anyone can get out of that location, and they're active another plus.. Now, I'm jealous. Great job! Nice meeting you.

Thanks for the kind words, Reinier. I enjoyed meeting you and your wife. We'll have to get together again sometime.
