Cape Barren Goose

EOS300D, Sigma 100-300 F4 + 1.4TC, ISO 400, 1/320 @ F8 -1. 550EX + BB -1.

Slimbridge Reserve again, this time one of their captive varieties. They really look quite amazing with their almost luminous green patch on the bill and white head cap. They are also quite aggressive so perhaps its better they only have a short bill!

All comments and critiques always welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking.

What a cool looking mug on this goose. I've never seen anything like it. Nice, crisp, sharp image. Very nice colors too. :D

Excellently done, Carol, and congrats on the updated web-site. (A lot of work went into that.) This image has great detail which I really enjoy.

Carol,

Another excellent effort from you. These geese are from the southern part of Australia - explains why they are grumpy little buggas.

Lovely goose, Carol. The top of the head is cooked in several areas. About a 4% burn of these areas would help--not in recovering detail but in toning down the white.

Nice portrait Carol. These guys have very rarely turned up in NZ (probably blown across the ditch in a storm). One of the more welcome Aussies

Carol, I've sure never seen this 'sweet' looking goose, but if you say it's aggressive ... I'll not try to pet it. Excellent details!!! 8) 8)
