Beautiful shot Darlene. The OOF branch on the bottom of frame is a little distracting to me.

I like this, the spooky background really sets off the white, kind of a ghostly feel. I wish the branch was not in the way and maybe a bit more room at the top for the plumes. Good shot.

Nice, Would like to see all of the plumes, and all of the feet. Really like the mood in this one.

Excellent shot. I would prefer the feet and a little more room all around. I agree about the oof branch but nothing you could have done about that.

Aside from the previously mentioned nits this is a very nice shot. :)

Wonderful capture of a feather duster in heat!!!, He is lovely up to his knees, finger chopping is a no-no in my little book, just a matter of taste. the lower branch is tad distracting as well!! Congrats!!

Cool, cool, cool! Another time, including the whole feet would complete the picture. :)

Small nits aside, this is a great look at this breeding display. I have not seen this with my own eyes and really enjoy this one in the soft light and wooded surroundings. Glad you figured out the posting thing too.

Hi Darlene,

Welcome to NSN! Other than the nits already mentioned I think this is a very nice shot! I love the plume display. I'm looking forward to seeing more. :)

Nice shot - shame about the feet. Always good to see these birds displaying with the bonus for me being that this one is not from the Venice rookery.
