Eeek! This is scary!!! It's also a pretty interesting view of a bird I have not seen! :) I do love his eyelashes.

" Go on, give us a kiss" That's the first thing that came to my mind when this loaded. :)

Nice one.

I like seeing things that are different. This one has impact when it opens up. Nice job.

This is different view of a powerful bird. No nits. Well seen!
A large agressive and powerful bird and it is usually the bird to open up a carcass. The bill shows its particular skill.
Thanks for sharing.

Gotta love those lashes! The pose with the distant stare works very well here, given the intent, faraway look..

And Alan, having seen these guys at work, there's no way I would think about kissing this guy!

This one sure jumps out at you! Since you were using flash a smaller aperture could have been used for more DOF which would give this even more impact. Glad I wasn't drinking hot coffee as this opened!

This one is definitely unique and quite an eye opener when it loads! I think it would be fun to play around with the color saturation a bit to see what the effects would be on the head (just for fun). Your composition really works here, nicely done.

The only Lapped's I've ever seen were in captivity. You chose a fine and unique view of this interesting bird. I would have liked slightly more DOF but this is still nice the way it is. Nicely done.
