I Came Upon A Tank (Pond) Of Egrets (Great & Little), Wood Storks, And Spoonbills About 4:30 In The Afternoon. Sun Was At My Back, But The Glare Was Still Pretty High. (Typical Texas).. I Should Have Gone Back To The House For A Longer Lens (400mm f2.8 Or 600mm f4), Only Had The 200mm f1.8 & 300mm f4 IS & 1.4TC. But I Was Afraid To Lose The Opportunity. I Should Have Spot Metered Off The Egret Also, But Hind Sight Is 20-20... I Burned The Inside Wing Area A Touch To Try And Regain Some Loss Detail... But Did Not Want to Over Do It... I Am Going To Try The Raw Correction Written About Here... (Thanks)
Please Tell Me What You Think, Perched Guys Or Big Mammals Are Sure Easier To Shoot... 1D & 300mm f4 IS + 1.4TC @ f16 - 1/1000 - Iso800 - -2/3ev - Ev - Av Minor Crop On Left Side Only, To Remove Partial Bird.... Tank Landing.... jrn (John R)
