Liked the first but this is much better. The cropping gives you a tighter view of the egret and we get to see the detail in the eye.

I remember the first, and like this improvement. It still looks like it's leaning back a bit, but that really might be its position based on the branches.

I like that you followed up with the suggestions, it can be a really good exercise.

There's a bit of a sharpening halo around the bird but I like the presentation here much better than the first one.
