More Sleeping Purple Sandpipers

Well, since I am at it, I might as well continue with this series of sleeping Purple Sandpipers.

This too was made with EOS3, 500MMf/4LIS, TC2XII, 25MM of extension, evaluative metering -1/3. Please let me know what you think.

Christoph, the target birds are a bit contrasty, and the OOF birds in the foreground are distracting. Separating birds can be so difficult sometimes.

I have to second Sandy's comments. The front birds are too dominant in the image. A little separation would have been good.

Christoph, This is different. The softness of the OOF birds is making the whole image look soft to me. like the rich colors.

Christoph, it is hard to make a composition like this work, between the birds in focus but incomplete and the FG OOF birds the image lacks flow and cohesiveness, yet the light is wonderful and so is the exposure!! 8)
