Snowy Egret form Ding Darling

This time at Ding Darling tons of white birds were staying by the road in small openings into the mangroves, keeping extra birds out of the composition was the toughest challenge for me. I'm not sure that in the post processing of this I've exposed correctly, the original has detail in all the whites but I have problems balancing it with the background shich makes this shot in my eye. As always harsh comments/crits welcomes

Hi, Abie! I like this habitat shot of a Snowy. The bird perched and turned like that, plus the vertical trunks in the background, dark and contrasting with the light colored bird, seems visually pleasing to me. While I enjoy images with clean backgrounds, I also like those with habitat that work well - and for me, this one does.

An excellent environmental image! It works very well. I really can't judge the whites on my laptop but they look just a tad over only in a couple spots; the upper neck and top of the head. Easily fixed with a combined conversion.

Wonderful photo Abie. I might take a small bit off the left.

 Wow! Super Snowy shot, Abie. I agree with Alan on Clipping a little off the left. But, this is beautiful as is. I have plenty of detail in the whites, the black legs and bill, and those gorgeous yellow feet. The Mangrove roots in the BG really add to the quality of the image. Well done in all respects.

Love the white on black simplicity with just a bit of habitat, and those feet!

I usually don't like the mangrove root back grounds, but this is very nice. Well done. Love those yellow slipper!

Grandmother, what big feet you have. Very well done, Abie. It's not easy to get attractive shots from the right side of the road at the Ding. Agree with a left crop to get the bird out of the center.

A sliver off the left for me too - but the dark, moody BG and the bright bird make for a great contrast in mood and tone. Lovely.

Abie,
This looks just fine on my monitor. Looks good this way and with a mild left-sided crop. Well done.
