(Bald Eagle) Homer, Alaska

This was also one of a series of images all taken under exposed due to incorrect camera settings. This is my favorite of the series due to the wing position and it is also the first shot. (Go figure!) The exposure was brought up in Capture 4 and Photoshop.

Tripod/Wimberley Mounted Nikon D2H, 600mm AFS, ISO 640, Aperture Priority, EV +0.7, 1/1000 @ F5, SB800, BB, i-TTL-FP, EV -1.7. Cropped full height from a horizontal frame and made 5:4.

A nice interaction shot, I have never seen them this close in the air.

The chase!!!

Image:
I have seen Eagles chase Ospreys out of their catch, but never an Eagle chasing another, I know it does happen but never witness it myself!!
Great catch, love the opposing wing patterns, pretty good Capture/Photoshop work, nice detail to boot!! Very nice!! Congrats!! 8)

Nice Tony! Not sure your flash did much to light the undersides as they are still prety blocked up. Wonderful action though! It was a great experience!

Great behavior image. Eagles do this a lot during the winter months when food is on short supply.

Great light and shooting to you all!

A tripod shot...and not even a Canon...most impressive.
