Image shot a few years ago, Madiera Canyon, AZ. Studio setup outdoors, 5 strobes used. Canon EOS1V, 100-400 IS, ISO100, 1/250, f/22, manual focus, Provia 100F. I know some photogs don't like artificial backgrounds, but this image has been my best seller of hummers.
Comments welcome.

Killer Hummer!!!

Image:
If not for the colors on the flower it would have been hard to tell if the bird colors were correct, and they are, maybe a golden/rustic BG could have worked even better for my taste!!, Still it is a killer shot!!
Congrats!! 8) 8) 8)

Rich, I love the irridescent greens and blues. What is the little fleck of light color just infront of the beak, a motion/flash artefact? This is very nicely done.

Very sweet shot! I don't mind artificial background as long as they "look" naturall. Not sure this color does, but it's still a great image. I wish I had one nearly as nice!

You are correct Brian, the tip of the tongue is visible and may appear as an artifact to some viewers. The hummers tongue is very long, and only the tip is visible in this image.
Thanks for the comments.
