Taken on a beanbag out a friend's bathroom window near their feeder. Canon 100-400, ISO 200, no fill flash unfortunately since I could not fit the flash and camera through their small window.

I used the magic wand to select and tone down the bright white background. Fill flash would have sure helped?

Great capture the only thing I would have liked is the head slightly more to the right.

Great framing exp and clean background. I like it very much.

Fine shot, Jeff. A head turn would be nice, but lovely as is. Unfortunately you were unable to use flash, for this would be an ideal opportunity to dial down the ambient EV and use flash as main light.

Yes, flash would have helped, but your image editing did something similar. The light background really accentuates the great colors in the bird, and I like the simple comp. I might like the bird to be looking a little more our way, but the distinct eye makes this one still work for me.
