Roseate Spoonbills, Merritt Island NWR
D1x, 600f4, horizontal frame cropped from sides. A few days ago I was tracking the flying spoonbill and was quite surprised when this bird started calling and the feeding spoonbill abruptly lifted its head for this mid-air greeting. This did not appear to be aggressive behavior as these birds paired up while feeding and later departed together. In the repost I applied USM until the facial features became clearer. I have never sharpened an image this much so I hope this helps (I have been using an USM formula recommended by one of the moderators for web postings). Thanks for the comments.
