I was going to switch to a groundhog but weakened at the last second and decided to go with one more bear cub from the STL workshop. It's hard to not run these little cuties out there in hopes that others will enjoy them as much a I do.
Canon Eos 10D, Canon 400/2.8 on Gitzo tripod and Wimberly head. ISO 400, 1/50 at f 8.0. No flash, full frame. If past performance is any indication I suspect I could have improved this in PS but I'd like to hear what folks think. Any revisions, comments welcome.

Wow, that is one long tongue!. Another cute cub shot to be sure. the light spots in the BG are distracting but the exposure on the bear looks good and the tongue is great. thanks for sharing.

What a cutie. Love the timing on this!

FWIW the bright, oversaturated flowers in the BG don't help this image, and I think you could "punch up" the bear and tree with some Levels, Curves, and/or Saturation adjustments.

Very nice picture!
I agree, some more contrast and perhaps a bit warmer colors could improve this picture even more!

All the best!

Like it as is; the tree nicely frames the cub and that long tongue is great. My first thought was to burn in the background a bit, but I wouldn't push it very much. The dark bear contrasts nicely with the lighter background and tree and I wouldn't like to weaken that contrast. Would push the USM a little more.

This is so cool - gotta love that big tongue - looks like you have Pooh Bear's Honey Pot and he is itching to get a lick

Good going Joseph, this one really made me laugh. Good timing. The white in the background simply is sun coming thru the leaves and very tough to avoid at VS ABA sanctuary... Nice job.

What a pose this guy is giving. Give this a try, in levels double click the white eye dropper and set to 240,240,240. Click the dropper on the bright spot on the snout or set the black eye dropper to all 8's and click way down deep in the chest. Make sure the preview box is checked otherwise you'll be pulling one of my classic moves and be scratching you head.LOL
