Shooting bears has become quite an obsession as of late. Every encounter is unique and wondeful in its own right, and this one was no exception.

1D, 500mm IS
exposure-incident plus one EV

Nice one maestro; you've got to remove that peanut shell though!

Gorgeous shot Chas. I really like that you have him in mid-stride.

Very well done and the paw being slightly blurred really adds a lot of action to this one.

Wonderful pose with the one paw in motion and nice exposure! Is it me or is the grass a tad too yellow?

Brian :)

Looks like he's ready for Weight Watchers! Love that tack-sharp face and intent look contrasting with the motion in the paw.

Oh, man... perfect exposure, and they look like they would just absorb light. Great timing, great composition.

I see someone else noticed the peanut shell, only us who have been there would ever know it was a peanut shell. Going back there in two weeks.
Everything is great on this image, exposure, caught in stride.

Another great shot Chas. Nothing boring about this boar. These guys really "soak the light" but you have such great detail thoughout. No choice but to let the grass go at +1EV. Nice exposure.
