Fort Noraba in Nebraska had these until a few years ago. Now the small herd has been moved a few miles away in the Valentine NWR. Nikon F5 with 300mm 2.8 on E 200 setting unrecorded

A great look of rest and relaxation, exuding comfort, and a portrait of a longhorn that certainly captures the head and horns well. The lighting allows much information to be viewed and the exposure appears right on.

Relaxed and regal looking is well captured here. Those horns really stand out. Would like just a bit more room at the bottom and fill flash might have made the facial features stand out more (though a little adjustment in curves might do the trick as well). Nicely done.

This is an interesting creature, I would not want to be there in person when he gets up! I like the diagonal and the relaxed, laying in the grass look.

I have had to learn a lot of PhotoShop to work with my scanned slides. I think there is a bit of a blue hue to this image (easily corrected) and I think a little lightening of the midtones would really help bring out some of the details. But the PS work is minor and an easy fix, you did the hard part already by bringing home the image!

I really like this photo and how nice and clean it is with no extraneous elements. I agree there is a blue cast induced by the overcast that should be corrected. I also wish the camera were tilted down ever so slightly to leave just a tiny bit more room below the animal.
