I'm not sure if six out of eight paws counts for the motif, but I'll call it that anyway. This is one of those shots that happens when you're taking portraits and suddenly some action starts, so you take aim and see what happens. Since I was set via incident at 1/160 f5.6, perfect sharpness wasn't in the cards, but the focus point locked on the rear leg area of the front cub, which allowed for a shot that at least looks sharp as a thumbnail. Canon 1Ds at ISO 250, 500f4, 1/160 at f5.6, cropped to 4x5 format from full-height vertical to improve framing as much as I could.

How cute! I love the diagonal line and the fact that only 2 paws are on the ground. It looks sharp enough in this format, both faces appear to be reasonably sharp. If you had a little more room at the top I'd avoid nipping the tip of the 2nd cub's tail. A bit tight overall but you certainly made the most of the opportunity, just an adorable shot.

I'm sorry, I think this is great. I love that both cubs are in as good focus as you have them.

great action here ....Two brothers gett'n at each other...

I know who is behind, my brother, sometimes I just barely made the get away..

Possibly a little les of a crop to allow the action to move in and out of...but as it is I like it.

It's a great shot. Don't worry about the nits. As the late Mayor Daley used to say, "The only poll that counts is the one on election day."

And this shot is a winner.

You did a great job at responding quickly to the sudden burst of action. The expression in the front cub's eyes and the rear cub's stretched paws are what really make this for me.

Matt,
This is fantastic. To me, having the eyes of the first cub sharp is most important and they look great. The second cubs eyes are sharp enough for me as well. The blur in the paws and the tail really shows how fast they were moving. Great shot!

This is terrific. I really like how the first subject is looking intently forward and the second one is intent on tackling the second.. WAY TO GO catching the opportunity. If the tail bugs you, shorten it in PS a smidge, looks a little too long anyway.. :)

This is great Matt! I love the intense expressions, the raised paw, the well caught action in not one - but two individuals, and the overall composition.

Well done!!

2 dirty cittens. Excellent behaviour in a very pleasing shot.

Congratulations
