Another shot from Chas' STL workshop in Jasper in early November. Probably Canon Elan 7e, 100-400 IS, handheld, Provia. Hammer away! Thanks for your critiques.

Kelly, this is a wonderful portrait. You should be proud of this one!
For printing I would blend the tree behind its head into the background

Best,

Chas

Nice work Kelly. I really like how the evergreens up front with snow on them frame in the face.. Thanks for posting here..

Very nice shot, I might take out a little blue from the Provia.

Excellent shot, Kelly. Perfectly composed, and the moose looks perfect in the setting. Great job getting all that detail in the moose without blowing out the snow.

Hey kelly,

This is so cool. Really portrays some character. That's what I like about it. I agree about blending the tree behind the moose's head. I'd be interested to learn how.

Love the use of forest and snow here.

Cheers

I love this one Kelly. Especially the way the moose is tucked into the evergreens.

Thanks for the very helpful feedback! Here's a revision, with less blue. I'm not exactly sure if this is what Chas had in mind about blending the tree into the background, but I cloned out one tree. The other was more tricky to clone cleanly, so I desaturated it and cloned out some of the clutter. What do you think?
