Photographed one early morning in Etosha NP, Namibia.
I was watching some other lions when I saw this female in my rearview mirror, standing against the Etosha Pan which made an excellent BG IMO.

Thanks for looking,

Bart

Very nice. It looks like she's in charge of that whole landscape.

Background really adds to the shot IMO. Seeing the vast dry expanse really leaves the viewer wondering just what is she the queen of? Nicely seen and captured.

Excellent. I love the BG and the colors. They work well with the lioness.

Beautiful shot here, Bart. I really like the pose of the lion, and you've positioned here perfectly in the frame against a great, expansive background (and kept your horizon straight!) Where else but Africa where do you get to say things like "I noticed a lion in my rearview mirror."

I am glad it ws in Africa, If I saw a lion in my rear view mirror in Los Angeles, I would be very worried.
Great shot.

I totally agree with you Bart.

Excellent 'wide angle' shot.

Also you mention something very important wrt wildlife viewing. Check your mirrors!!
