I was very lucky, as usual, to photograph this leopard on several occassions from a young cub to adulthood. She was quite relaxed around the vehicle and at one point actually sniffed the shoes of our tracker while he was out in the tracker's seat...nobody was breathing when that happend... :-)

I don't have the technical data of the shot, but I vividly recall that it was the last shot on the last roll of film that I had with me... Leopard Hills, Sabi Sands in South Africa

Jeff, definitely a good use of your last bit of film! The action here is super. Maybe a bit too much contrast or saturation?

Nice action and what a way to end a trip or at least a supply of film. The image does appear to be either over exposed or too high in contrast but it may also just be the scan. It must have been an incredible experience. I hope your next trip there is even better.

Hmm, don't think I'd like that sniffing my toes! Was this taken with a mirror lens?

Great catch Jeff. A little too contrasty for my tastes tho.

Looks like it has a ton of potential but the contrast is set way too high giving it a posterized look.

It is a bit overexposed it was near noon..I had managed to talk them in to taking me on a game drive while I was waiting for the plane... so all of my gear was on the land rover...

You guys will be quite surprised, but actually I think that it is over-sharpened... :-) Still working out that formula....

Wow! The open mouth and all those teeth are great I agree that it looks a little contrasty.
